Gear Review: MSR Pocket Rocket stove

Review: MSR PocketRocket 2 Ultralight Backpacking, Camping, and Travel Stove

It is a great choice for backpacking or canoe backcountry camping. We also use it when we stay at the dropzone for a weekend of skydiving.

At 2.6 ounces it is very easy to pack and it comes with it’s own small hard shell case. It boils water fast (4.5 mins), so if your using freeze-dried food, your meal will be ready fast.

It comes with a stand that easily supports a pot or frying pan to cook fresh food. Just make sure to use it on level ground, as it’s small size could tip a large pan.

The fuel canisters come in various sizes and are easy to find at any camping store or online.
